How I’ve Been Creating Games with Gemini

Estimated reading time: 1 minute, 26 seconds

In case you’re curious how I’ve been creating the games with Gemini Canvas, I have a video on how to do it. In the video, I’m copying the content into notepad and creating an offline html file, but to insert it into WordPress, I just create a regular blogpost and create a new block of HTML code and paste the code directly into it and then when you preview it should work.

Here is the video of the steps:

Here are some of the prompts I’ve been using:

Sample prompt: Create a choose-your-own-adventure game based on the article by Maha Bali When it comes to AI is transparency enough? https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/highereducation/2024/10/18/ethics-in-ai/ Make the game 10 scenarios, and for each scenario, the player has to choose between options that involve more accountability and transparency, or less accountability and transparency when using AI and some of the choices should include refusing AI because there is insufficient accountability and transparency. After each choice a player makes, give them feedback on how good their choice was. Use examples understandable for college students. Use pastel colors and good color contrast. Make sure the game is accessible for screen readers and follows ARIA standards. Allow players to go next or back. Give players a score towards the end.

Sample revision: Good first draft. Redo the game with 3 or 4 choices per scenario, some of which are totally incorrect, one is the best answer, and one is an OK answer but not the best option. Be clear in the feedback. Retain all other aspects of the game.

This is the resulting game about transparency and accountability in AI ethics.
