Thanks Maha. This was an interesting thought experiment, so thanks for that. But it was challenging — as typically I would not consider myself an OER, or any kind of resource. (Perhaps not surprising then that my research for past 3+ years has been on open practices and choices ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) In thinking of myself, and others, I relate to ‘making choices’ about openness, to ‘being and becoming’ open, and to ‘opening’ education – open as verb rather than adjective. Another expression of this is, as many people have written (and here I just mention a few: Jenny Mackness, Cameron Neylon, Helen Crump), openness as a ‘way of being’. Looking forward to the insights to be gleaned from all these great responses – many thanks ๐Ÿ™‚
