Every now and then, the same thing happens to me. I will be in a regional meeting of teachers, often through our Writing Project, and someone I barely (or don’t know) will tell me they read my blog and learn technology that they try out in the classroom from something they read or that I shared. I am both honored and embarrassed by this, although I don’t know why. I guess it sort of blurs the lines between this virtual audience I think I have (maybe) and a real live person who is really reading what I write. It’s one of those digital writing fault lines that changes how we view writing and how we write, and it is darn interesting.
