A happy synthesis here. Thanks. Reading your bulleted list above I am struck that the word ‘cheat’ is a way into the blindspots we all have about what constitutes ‘knowing’. If the goal is to know and gain power over ones own knowing, then is it even possible to cheat? If the goal is to gain power over others, then can it be anything other than cheating?

I also like the definition-“this realization that your ideas and thinking are interconnected with those of others in your community.” Is this some kind of hivemind epiphany? The sum is greater than the parts. And wouldn’t it be cheating to even cite something from the zeitgeist. Is rhizomatic learning represented by the zeitgeist globally and by the gestalt locally?
