A few minutes before I read your post, I happened to read this piece:

The tl;dr version is that an idiot customer at a Texas steakhouse left no tip and wrote “We don’t tip terrorist” [sic] on the $100+ bill for a meal served by a biracial Christian man, whose father named him Khalil after a late friend. Encouragingly, the chief exec of the steakhouse banned the customer for life, but the incident highlights how deeply rooted Islamophobia is in the U.S.
