I tried to introduce my daughter to the old James Bond movies a couple of years ago. I stopped the movie midway because it was so anti females it became embarrassing to watch with a young teenage woman.

As to cartoons…. I love the movies by studio Ghibli. Characters are never plain, they all have got good and bad sides to them. The drawings are awesome too. The music by Joe Hisaishi is my favorite.
Many have been released with English voices. I love to watch them with the original Japanese voices and English subtitles.
