Somewhere in the midst of all of this i am still trying to think about the place of authethnography stuff we engage. George Veletsianos asked yesterday why he’s seeing an upsurge in the amount of ae work. I wonder myself. There’s so much i believe in the personal/individual that can be told and learned from. But nowadays big data is seen as the thing. I wonder if the personal and tell so much more about the collective than what big data (the collective) can tell about an individual. Of course we have heard about how big data can influence personalisation. And i wonder…
