wow, great post jam packed with a ton of ideas as usual Maha. Love how you just let your ideas run through stream of consciousness style…and effortlessly make a heap of links and connections between them in the process!
I also find remix culture quite fascinating and have been reflecting a lot on adult learning in relation to how children learn through natural curiosity, discovery, play, imagination – and seem to naturally ‘remix’ ideas and objects through play – all things which unfortunately tend to get drummed out and devalued as they get older – not just by the education system, but society as a whole (including parents, who tend to increasingly focus on academic skills and performance as children get older). I always find it fascinating to watch how children play and converse with each other…and how this changes as they develop and age.
