I don’t know any men who’ve confessed this, but I’ve heard it being said by women, of women. And I’ve heard it a lot in academia, I don’t know whether that’s a bias of my own circle and network or whether the condition is more prevalent in academia, with this concentration of nerds and high-achievers or also something about how power and knowledge work among academics.
