Heads-up – Ramadan Space and Excuse

Estimated reading time: 0 minutes, 39 seconds

Just a heads-up that today is the first day of Ramadan, so coming up is a month of both religious focus and strange scheduling. This won’t seem too weird to people who follow me online since it is normal for me to be awake at weird hours anyway. But I will have to be offline at different times for family obligations and will ask to please not be expected to take part in anything syncrhonous. I have a couple commitments but will not do any more, if possible.
Still, I did take the month of Ramadan off, so I am hoping to get some writing/research done in the mornings before my girl gets home from daycare.
looking forward to enjoying #clmooc and the Blended Learning conference, as I did last Ramadan 🙂

    1. Well writing in the free time i have between other Ramadan obligations and other stuff. It will prob end up being the same number of hours i write anyway since i usually write during my commute and late night (but i am missing the commute entirely and busier during late nights)

  1. What I liked about Ramadan was filling in for people who would fade out part way through the day. Good reminder of what’s really important. Plus it makes planning impossible because the unacknowledged most important person at the college is a Muslim woman who keeps over half the departments running. All crazy ideas from the people “above” her have to wait for a month.
Sun went down about 10:15 PM last night here. Makes for a long day. Enjoy the month off!
